“Health Handbook for Vietnamese Migrant Workers in Japan” was just published by the Migrant Health Working Group of Vietnam which is co-chaired by the Ministry of Health and the International Organization for Migration (IOM) Vietnam Office.
The Bureau of International Health Cooperation of the National Center for Global Health and Medicine (NCGM) drafted it with the funding support of the IOM Vietnam Office, in collaboration with the Migrant Neighbors’ Network and Action (MINNA), a wide range of experts and institutions as well as Vietnamese people living in Japan.
This handbook is developed for Vietnamese workers who are working or will be working in Japan. This contains a wealth of valuable information and guidance for the utilization of medical facilities and insurance, occupational health, mental health, tuberculosis and HIV, and sexual and reproductive health.
Aiming to be useful for both Vietnamese workers and employers, it has been written in both Vietnamese and Japanese. By doing this, we hope Vietnamese workers can get support from people around them and work to be happy.
